Apart from the obvious objective of the event, which was to celebrate the excellence that thrives in our halls, we were also part of the special few to witness the birth of the new era – the generation of PowerUp!
What does PowerUp mean? Well, as explained by Sangeeta Tanwani, CEO of Pantaloons & StyleUp, it marks the birth of a leaner, meaner and much more efficient Pantaloons, geared in every capacity for growth.

Our Dynamic Emcee Duo
The evening was expertly emceed by Edna Barkha Daniels from HR and Hemanth Golavilli from the Retail Business Development team. Despite being in a completely new role, they totally excelled in this capacity. Their infectious enthusiasm and ability to engage the audience were evident, as they smoothly transitioned between segments, provided insightful commentary, and kept the event running on schedule.
Edna’s experience in HR contributed to her exceptional communication skills and understanding of the audience, while Hemant brought a persuasive energy to the stage, thanks to his background in sales. Together, this duo entertained with witty banter and facilitated interactive activities, ensuring everyone was entertained. Their seamless coordination significantly contributed to the event’s success, making them stand-out highlights of the evening.
Mind Games & Dance Moves
The night wasn’t all about work! Attendees were treated to a captivating performance by mentalist Jerry. His uncanny ability to reveal deeply held secrets and read minds, left the audience completely astonished. Jerry’s act had everyone on the edge of their seats, and some attendees might have even been a bit nervous about their own secrets being revealed!
The entertainment continued with two high-energy dance performances by the All Stars United dance troupe. Their electrifying routines got the crowd cheering and moving to the music. The troupe’s vibrant stage presence and performance ensured that the entertainment was as unforgettable as it was diverse.
Winning Moments
The main highlight of the evening was recognising Pantaloons’ incredible talent. We celebrated a total of 129 winners from every team across the company. The awards spanned various categories, including retail excellence, best store managers, distinguished leaders, and team excellence. Seeing our colleagues up on stage, beaming with pride as they received their awards, was truly inspiring. The applause, cheers, and smiles made it clear how much these moments meant to everyone involved. The night served as a huge motivator for everyone, acknowledging the hard work and dedication put in throughout the year. These winning moments not only celebrated individual achievements but also highlighted the collective success of the organisation.
This evening was a powerful reminder of what makes the Pantaloons’ team truly special. It showcased the spirit and dedication that drives the company every day. Celebrating these moments together reaffirmed Pantaloon’s commitment to celebrating and appreciating excellence and innovation.
