Celebrate International Dance Day with ABFRLites

by ABFRLadmin | April 27, 2022

Dancing can boost your confidence, lift your mood, make you feel rejuvenated and above all provides you with an immeasurable amount of joy. From sporting raw moves at marriage celebrations to perfectly choreographed dance numbers, those moves can make your day a thousand times better.

This International Dance Day, we asked our ABFRL family to share their definition of dance with us. For some it was all about a quick mood refresher, while for others it was their way of life. Here is what our family has to share about their views on dance.

For me Dance is the easiest medium to connect my inner self with the almighty. I feel the presence of supreme energy when Im on stage dancing all my heart out. I chose Bharatanatyam over other dance forms, as there is less visibility of men in classical dance category. People consider these dance forms as feminine, but it is not. Every classical dance is the genesis of Tandava, which is performed himself by the supreme man Lord Shiva. Hence all this spirituality, the subtlety, and the energy which Bharatanatyam brings within made to choose this dance form.

Dancing for me is a stress relief therapy and also to an extent dopamine builder. I feel happy and free when I dance.

Dancing makes me feel calm after a busy day, as well as energized. Dancing over the years has also definitely increased my confidence. Music and dance create a feeling of comfort, relaxation, fun and power that makes me feel positive, happy and alive.

I feel dancing is a way to express myself when I cant find the words to share my feelings. Its fun and infuses me with a different kind of energy. Assistant Manager – Company Secretary, ABFRL Corporate

Celebrate everyday as your personal dance day and dance your hearts out. Do Bhangra for a quick confidence boost and Bollywood style to release all the pent-up tension from a long day of work. Put on your best pair of dancing shoes and move to the beat of your own drum.
